IVI Foundation Announces Compatibility with Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System, 4/19/2010
Niwot, CO – April 20, 2010 – The IVI Foundation today announced IVI, VXIplug&play, and VISA support for Windows® 7, to help engineers and scientists attain faster performance and higher throughput within their applications. Engineers and scientists considering upgrading to the latest computer hardware can now take advantage of IVI driver compatibility to successfully migrate their applications to the latest operating system from Microsoft. In addition to 32-bit support, IVI drivers can be run on the 64-bit version of Windows 7 operating system as well.

IVI Foundation Releases Four New Instrument Classes, 3/3/2010
Niwot, CO – March 3, 2010 – The IVI Foundation today announces the release of four new instrument classes: digitizer, counter/timer, upconverter, and downconverter. Much of the new specification work is designed to enable building drivers for synthetic instrumentation. Interest from the U.S. Department of Defense, in particular, had initially sparked this effort within the IVI Foundation.

“IVI Getting Started Guide” Now Available, 4/3/2008
Niwot, Colorado – The IVI Foundation announces the new IVI Getting Started Guide free of charge on its website at http://www.ivifoundation.org. Interchangeable Virtual Instrument (IVI) drivers have long been recognized for their power and performance enabling instrument interchangeability and lowering the cost of developing and maintaining test systems. What has not always been clear is that IVI drivers can also be easy to use. Regardless of your chosen Application Development Environment (ADE), you can use the drivers to develop, set up and maintain test systems efficiently.
